The Telly Awards, the world’s premier honor for video and television content across all screens, announced the winners of its 42nd annual competition at the end of May. Abstrakt Marketing Group was named a bronze winner for two entries in the Local TV category.
This year, judges received a 15% increase in entries compared to the previous year’s competition. The growth was driven by a significant rise in remote and virtual productions, with many brands using animation for the first time.
Abstrakt’s winning videos were both entered in the General-Automotive for Local TV category. The first entry was for the St. Louis car dealership Suntrup Hyundai with its “All Gotta Go” commercial. The next was for a dealership right outside of Phoenix, Arizona—Surprise Honda—with a spot called “Price Slasher” that debuted around Halloween.
“We don’t create TV commercials to win awards. Our No. 1 priority is to engage audiences to buy our clients’ products by driving leads. But when we can accomplish both with the same spot—and that award is the prestigious Telly—it’s incredibly satisfying,” said Creative Director Scott Ingberg.
Since its inception, Abstrakt has received more than 85 awards for its award-winning services and workplace culture. Roughly 16 of the awards have come from videos produced by Abstrakt Studios over the past five years.
“It’s a great honor for Abstrakt to be recognized nationally, but especially during a year where video has been one of the important services businesses can invest in,” said Director of Video Production Neil Erker. “Whether it’s broadcast television or product/service videos, our video production team is an incredible source for quality storytelling for businesses.”
