The St. Louis Post Dispatch has released their list of Top Workplaces for 2018, and Abstrakt is happy to have made the list for the sixth year!
This year, 209 organizations were considered for the Top Workplaces award. To be eligible, the company had to have at least 50 employees in the greater St. Louis area. Employers could be public, private, nonprofit, or governmental. Of the top 50 midsize winners, Abstrakt Marketing Group is proud to be ranked #21!
Creating a top workplace is about more than offering great benefits and vacation time. It’s about organizational health. Employees want to align with the company’s vision, be challenged by a high-performance culture, and feel that they are valued and that their voices are heard.
About the Top Workplaces Award
In order to be considered for this award, employees were asked to rate their workplace based on several different criteria. In all, there were 24 factors covering seven areas that employees scored their employer on. The seven scored areas included (bullet points)
- Alignment
- Effectiveness
- Connection, My Manager, Employee Engagement, Leader, and The Basics.
“Connection” and “Alignment” have consistently been ranked most import to employees. The least important factors for workplace satisfaction seem to be pay and benefits under “The Basics.”
